Senior Technology Assistance and Resources (STAR)
The STAR program is aimed at improving older adults' digital skills.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Trainees will receive a computer device and internet connection as part of the program, with the program aimed at older adults in low-income housing. A volunteer will help participants understand how to use their device, and develop their computer skills.
If you can gather a group of 20 or more older adults who would be interested in the STAR program, let us know, and we can bring the program to your location.
TRAINING TOPICS COVERED
Email safety (opening and replying emails, identifying spam).
Using a computer device for email, photos, and possibly more advanced activities (e.g. video phone calls, online shopping, or social media).
How to search the web and easily access frequently used pages.
