We could not provide the resources we do without the help of our friends and sponsors! Each Spring we host an annual fundraiser for YHAA. On this page you will find information on this year's fundraiser, along with photos and sponsor recognition from the most recent annual fundraiser.

Mark Kalman is a licensed contractor who recently relocated from the Bay Area to Yolo County to be closer to grandchildren. He responded to a community request for a volunteer contractor for the new Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance grab bar program. Mark has a background in volunteering with Rebuilding Together, providing home modifications to prevent falls and keep our Yolo older adults safe in their homes. For each request, Mark goes to the person's home to assess the need and identify the right placement and materials for the grab bars. We regularly receive cards and notes thanking Mark.
"I hadn't had a shower in months until Mark installed my grab
bar. It was glorious!"
Mark even designed and built a very special ramp for a
woman who uses a wheelchair who hadn't been out of her
home in months (see photo). Mark provides his time,
expertise, and talent for our program. He is a
YHAA Senior Superstar!
An example of Mark's work: a ramp built for a woman who uses a wheelchair.
