AGENCY ON AGING - AREA 4
Agency on Aging- Area 4 funds and monitors older adult programs in seven counties in Northern California. The following contracted services are provided in Yolo County: Caregiver Support, Health Insurance Counseling, Information & Assistance, Job Readiness, Legal Services, Long Term Care Ombudsman Services/Elder Abuse Prevention, Nutrition, and Transportation. AAA4 also provides advocacy for senior programs and services. Referral Requirements: Age 60+ (Caregiver/care receiver exception) & Resident of Yolo County
RESOURCES FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING
Resources for Independent Living promotes the socioeconomic independence of person with disabilities and seniors by providing peer supported, consumer directed independent living services and advocacy. RIL provides 7 core services: Advocacy and Legislative Monitoring; Housing; Personal Assistance Services; Information and Referral; Peer counseling; Independent Living Skills training; and Assistive technology.

Yolo 211 is the information hub for Yolo County, linking residents to vital health and human services, information and resources in the community. 211 Yolo is free, multilingual, confidential and available 24 hours per day, every day of the year.

YOLO COUNTY LIBRARY BOOKS AND DISCOVERY KITS BY MAIL
Yolo County Library Books and Discovery Kits by Mail is a free service from the Yolo County Library that brings library materials to you through the mail on a long-term or short-term basis. It is available to any Yolo County resident who has a disability, illness or lack of transportation that prevents access to a Yolo County Library branch.

Resource Navigators was developed to bridge the gap between available Community Resources and individuals who have need of resources. If you need help in finding services like legal assistance, transportation, in-home services, veterans’ services, etc., call us. We can help individuals to identify resources they may be eligible for and navigate the maze of requirements and paperwork to access them. All information shared with a Resource Navigator is held in confidence.
